Girls' Camp - LT Carnival!

Hi Asto Wamah followers,

We had another beautiful day to enjoy the outdoors! The morning started with flag raising and Secret Sister picking! Secret Sister has become a girls’ camp tradition where everyone picks a name of a camper or staff member. We then do nice things or make small gifts (e.g. friendship bracelet) for our Secret Sister. The big reveal will be on Thursday - we will let you know how it goes!

During first period, some of our advanced swimmers enjoyed a trip to Frog Island, which is across the lake. Frog Island is like a sand bar - it is a shallow area of the lake with lots of rocks. Campers were able to choose one rock as a momento for the occasion!

The rest of the morning classes went well - lots of learning on the lake, creative project-making in arts and crafts, and team building on the ropes course during sports! Various options were also offered during Activity Period in the afternoon. Campers went sailing, jumping off the tower, and to the A-Field for field games.

We had a special Evening Program hosted by our Leadership Trainees this evening: Carnival! This session’s theme was Pirates in the Caribbean. The LTs put together a choreographed dance and skit, which the campers found very entertaining. Games and stations included a hula hoop contest, freeze dance competition, face painting, and a water balloon toss! There were many laughs to go around!

Until tomorrow,

CAW staff
