Dear Asto Wamah Followers,
I cannot believe it is June already. June is a month that always feels far away! There are now just over 3 weeks until the start of Coed!
On Saturday, May 26th, we welcomed about 50 first-year campers and their families to Asto Wamah. There was a lot of excitement and activity. A number of counselors led tours, giving new campers a chance to check out a cabin, both bathrooms, the A-Field, and of course the Lodge. Drew even set out a display of some of the choices offered in Arts and Crafts. Open Camp Day is a wonderful opportunity to reduce anxiety in new campers. The 26th was a great success! Thank you to all who ventured out to be a part of it.
In a few weeks, counselors will begin to arrive for staff training. Staff members are excited to return to camp this summer and we look forward to providing all of our campers a fun-filled, memorable experience!
The next blog entry will be posted on the first night of Coed – stay tuned!
Think camp!
