Thursday, July 6th

Today was filled with sunshine, bullseyes, and good vibes. The water was warmed to perfection for swimming classes and general swim. Sports class had a variety of options today; football, kan jam, and ultimate frisbee. During both Ellie and Lexi’s archery classes, all of the campers got at least one bullseye!

During activity period, campers jumped off the tower, sailed the Hunter and the Sunfish, paddle boarded, and played basketball. It was the first day we were able to take out the Hunter this session, which was a very big deal given that it is our BIGGEST sailboat (fitting 10 people)!

We had some filling meals today to say the least; English muffins for breakfast, chicken tenders and rice for dinner (one of those meals where kids are asking for seconds before the food has even made it all the way around the table), and meatball subs for supper. Following the vanilla pudding dessert, campers got ready for a classic game - capture the flag! This year, we added some more boundaries so the campers were extra excited! Both teams were able to capture the flag several times which was super fun to watch!

We took full advantage of the hot summer day paired with the warm lake water by ending the day off with a quick dip before heading to bed. We have been loving this sunny weather and also loving the energy from the campers!
